How to start ur PC at a specific time and start download automatically

Many of us have night unlimited connection. But waking up at 2 o'clock is not a good experience everyday. So I'm going to tell u here the procedure that will start ur PC at 2 o'clock and star downloading automatically!!!

First of all ur need a very updated BIOS. I've tested it on my Intel G965RY Board. Many motherboards have that feature. If u can find it please update ur BIOS. Goto power tab. U will find a option called 'Wake system from S5'. Make that enable. And set the time, u want ur computer will to start atomically.

Exit with saving changes.

Now Login to ur Windows (I've used Windows
Vista SP1). Goto Start. Type netplwiz. Then press Enter. In the 'User Account' dialog turn off the check mark from 'User must enter a username & password to use this computer'. Windows will ask u to enter ur password. Enter it and click ok.

Now goto ur broadband connection and right click and click properties(see the pic at RHS). Check off the option 'Prompt for username and password.....' And increase Redial atempt to 10 and time between redial attempts to 10- 15 min.(if ur connection never fails u can ignore this).

After u have done that open notepad.
Write

rasphone -d name-of-ur-connection

Replace with
name-of-ur-connection ur connection name. In my case it's DataOne.

Now save it at any location u like with a extension .bat

Now open Task Scheduler and schdule the batch file u have just created at a specific time u like.(that means like 2.30 AM Daily)(Please make it 10minutes after ur PC starts automatically).

To start downloading automatically add ur Torrent clients to ur Windows Startup. If ur using download manager then u can use their scheduler. In case of FDM (I use) u first select the downloads and right click on them. Goto Schedule -> Start. Set ur settings of schedule as u like.)

So ur done.

Next time u want to start download after 2AM. Just turn on ur MODEM at 10.30PM and goto sleep. U'll get ur complete downloaded files on next breakfast......

Enjoy!!!!!!

Secure Your Gmail Inbox

I know you are using Gmail for many days. You may love it And you also think that it's quite secure. Yes, it is. I think you have noticed that when u login to your Gmail account you type http://gmail.google.com in your favorite browser's address bar. U have noticed that the login page is secured(You can see the lock icon in your address bar)so that your user name & password are transfered to Google server after encrypting. But just after you login u will see that your inbox is not secured!! Because the site is not secured any hacker can hack your inbox now. If you want to secure your inbox then you have to do the following....
There is a difference between http & https. Later is secured. When you type http://gmail.google.com, Google automatically redirects that site to https://...... so that your login becomes secured. Now if you type https://gmail.google.com for your login then after logging in you will see that ur inbox is also secured.
Here is the proof
Non-secured inbox

Secured Inbox

So don't use http://gmail.google.com. Use https://gmail.google.com.
I suggest that you make a bookmark of secured gmail site.....
Happy surfing....
